Funding for this site was provided by Highland 2007 and the Crofters Commission.

Our first entry is the 19th Century Napier Commission report into the life and times of Highland crofters and cottars, one of Scotland's most important historical records. Now for the first time, it is available from our online elibrary. Just click HERE to be taken to the documents.

We hope in the future to add further historical documents to this site. All documents will be presented as scanned PDF with text search facility, providing an accurate representation of the original publication.

Highland 2007 recognises and celebrates the area’s culture, combining traditional and contemporary Highland culture in a reflection on the old and a celebration of the new. 

Highland 2007 will work with individuals and communities throughout the Highlands and further a field to bring together a bespoke cultural celebration of the Highlands and Islands in 2007.
